The Indie Fund: a dollar from everything we sell, back into the scene
Every time something sells here, a dollar of the workshop's own share goes into the Indie Fund, and more as the price goes up. A buyer can tip it at checkout.
Every time something sells here, a dollar of ours goes into the Indie Fund. Every disc, every print, every piece of gear, and our own public-domain titles too. A dollar on a disc at any price through forty dollars, and one more for every ten above that; a dollar on a print, a book, gear or merch under a hundred dollars, two at a hundred, and one more for every hundred above that. It is always our dollar, and it never comes out of what a creator earns.
A tip at checkout is optional, and it can go to the fund, to the developer or to We The Indies. Every cent of a tip to the fund goes to the fund. The disc price does not change either way.
There are no pitches to send and no board to convince, because nothing is being handed out yet. The best day to start saving is today, so we save from today. What the money is for, and when it is spent, the community decides.

We The Indies is a one-person disc shop in St. Augustine, Florida. Indie developers, filmmakers and musicians send finished work; the workshop makes a real disc for it by hand, one copy at a time, and ships it to someone who owns it forever. No DRM, no server to shut off, no licence to revoke. The disc maker, Rialto 1.5, is open source and free.
