Storefronts. Physical gaming unites!
A studio, a publisher or a shop that makes or sells physical games gets its own home on We The Indies: a page with its logo, banner and colours, and the releases it chooses to show, at one address.
Every developer already on We The Indies gets a storefront under Your studio in IndieHub: a page with their logo in a circle, a banner, their own background and colours, and the releases they choose to show, at wetheindies.com/studio/their-name. Customizing it is free and changes nothing about an existing release: same product, same price, same agreement.
Publishers and stores sign up the same way. A boutique publisher or a local retro game shop brings the physical releases it already sells, connects the shop it already runs or builds its catalog with us, gives the page its own look, and enters its shipping, dispatch origin and payout details for We The Indies to review. Customers check out with We The Indies; approved orders are sent to the fulfilment setup the shop agreed, and the shop receives its agreed item amount in full. Our fee is added to the price the buyer pays, with payment and shipping costs shown before purchase.
Opening a storefront is free. A shop is connected and selling once its connection has taken a test order end to end and been approved; until then, the page says so and We The Indies hooks the shop up after sign-up.
About We The Indies
We The Indies is a one-person disc shop in St. Augustine, Florida. Indie developers, filmmakers and musicians send finished work; the workshop makes a real disc for it by hand, one copy at a time, and ships it to someone who owns it forever. No DRM, no server to shut off, no licence to revoke. The disc maker, Rialto 1.5, is open source and free.
