Every time something sells here, a dollar of ours goes into the Indie Fund. Every disc, every print, every shirt, every piece of gear, and anything of ours sold on another marketplace. It comes out of our side, never out of what a creator earns.
The best day to start saving is today.
So we save from today. What the money is for, and when it is spent, the community decides.
Our idea for some of it: Indiecons.
Indiecons bring people together for games, art, entertainment and esports: a con, a LAN tournament, a meetup in a town that never gets one.
Our idea is to use some of the fund to put them on, and to help people get to them. It is a proposal, not a decision. The community decides.
