If we go away
The disc in the case still plays.
A disc is a copy you hold. If We the Indies closed tomorrow, our shelf would go dark and updates would stop where a game has them, and every disc you own would carry on exactly as it does today.
Play never needs an account or a server from us. If we ever close, you get 90 days notice first, and we publish the signing mark that lets anyone check a copy without us.
