Cookie Policy

This page lists what wetheindies.com stores in your browser, by name. There is no advertising here, no cross-site tracking, and nothing sold to anyone. Most of what follows exists so your cart survives a page refresh.

Which cookies does the site need to work?

These are set because the site cannot work without them. They are not optional.

• wti_cart_id keeps your cart attached to you between pages. Set by us, readable only by the server, and it expires after 30 days.
• Sign-in session cookies (names starting sb-) are set by Supabase, our authentication provider, when you sign in to Account or IndieHub. They keep you signed in and are removed when you sign out.
• wti_org remembers which studio you last chose in IndieHub. Set by us, readable only by the server, and it expires after one year. It is a selection, not a sign-in. Signing out or clearing site data removes it.
• Checkout cookies are set by Shopify on its own checkout pages once you leave our site to pay. They carry the order through payment.

What do we store for your preferences?

These are stored in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. They do the same job, so we list them here rather than hide behind the distinction.

• wti_consent_v1 remembers which button you chose on the cookie banner, so we stop asking.
• wti.vat-banner.dismissed-at remembers that you dismissed the EU VAT notice, for 90 days.
• wti:workspace: keys keep a short local copy of unsent IndieHub text if the network drops or the tab closes. They last seven days, stay under 64 KB, never hold a signature or bank details, and are cleared when you sign out.

What about analytics?

We use PostHog to understand which pages help indie games get seen. It runs only when we have it switched on and you have chosen “Accept all” on the banner. Choose “Essential only” and no analytics run at all. Nothing on this site loads an analytics script before you answer, except Sentry: error reporting starts with the page so a crash can be fixed. Sentry is configured not to send personal information.

How do we measure speed?

We do measure how fast pages load, so a slow page gets fixed. Those measurements are timings only. They set no cookies, carry no identifiers, and are not tied to you.

What are your choices?

The banner at the bottom of the page has two buttons: accept everything, or essentials only. Both are real choices and the site works the same either way. To change your answer later, clear site data for wetheindies.com in your browser and the banner comes back.

Your browser can also block or delete cookies on its own. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will break the cart and sign-in, which is a browser limitation rather than a choice we made.
